Barbecue pineapple trout

Grab a bottle of Hawaiian Sesame Soy sauce from our friends at Humble & Frank for this delicious summery sweet recipe created by our pals at @thesillykitchen!

Ingredients

Fish

  • 2 Springhills trout fillets
  • 1 pineapple, cored and peeled
  • 1 bottle of Humble & Frank Hawaiian Sesame Soy sauce from your local Metro store

Salsa

  • 1 cup grilled pineapple sliced, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 red pepper, finely diced
  • Juice of one lime
  • Black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat Grill to approx. 400 degrees.
  2. Place pineapple slices onto grill, flip after 2 minutes.
  3. Add fillet(s) onto the pineapple. Brush fillets with generous amount of sauce and close grill.
  4. Cook for 12-14 minutes. Remove fillets and grill pineapple on other side for 1 more minute.
  5. For the salsa, mix all the ingredients together and serve on top of fish!
