Baked fish in cream sauce

This recipe is from our friend Chef Sadia (on Instagram at @chefsadiayak) and it’s ‘trout’ of this world!

INGREDIENTS

Chef Sadia gives you this list of ingredients as a guide, and lets you choose how much of each to add.

FISH:

  • Two fillets of trout, salmon or Arctic char, thawed
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt & Pepper

SAUCE:

  • Olive oil
  • White onion, sliced
  • Garlic cloves, chopped
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • Paprika
  • Red chili flakes
  • Cumin powder
  • Salt
  • Cream
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Cilantro, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Marinate fish fillets with a sprinkle of salt, pepper, olive oil and garlic powder.
  2. Cook fish in the oven at 350F until done (here’s our cooking tips!)
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan, and stir fry onions and garlic.
  4. And mushrooms and all the spices (paprika, red chili flakes, salt and cumin).
  5. When mushrooms are cooked through, add cream (depends on how saucy you want it) and add parmesan cheese. Simmer to thicken.
  6. Sprinkle with cilantro and serve.
