Springhills Fish offers live rainbow trout for pond stocking during the spring and fall seasons. Their process is as smooth as a trout’s swim:
- Pick-Up Times: Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM by appointment.

- Transportation: We provide loaner totes with aerators for safe fish transport.

For orders over $500, delivery is available at $3.50/km one-way from the farm.
Preparing your pond
To ensure your trout thrive:
- Depth: Your pond should be at least 10 feet deep.
- Temperature: Cooler water is ideal for trout.
- Habitat: Incorporate natural flora and fauna for a balanced ecosystem. Some trees and bushes around the edges of the pond give your trout natural places to rest and hide.
Trout can forage naturally but will also respond enthusiastically to supplemental feeding. We can hook you up with a bag of trout feed!
What about other types of fish?
We can only sell rainbow trout for stocking ponds. Although we raise coho salmon and Arctic char, our permits do not allow us to sell them for ponds. At this point in time, we are not familiar with any Ontario fish farms selling speckled or brown trout, bass, or catfish.
